What is genetic matching?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Genetic matching is the study of the couple’s genes to indicate the compatibility between them. In this way, it is determined whether there is a probability that the child may suffer from hereditary diseases during his or her life so that, knowing this, it can be avoided. The study is also carried out on the donor, in case a couple is going to conceive through the donor, either sperm or eggs.<\/p>

Genetic diseases are not always inherited in all generations. It is possible that you and your partner are apparently healthy and yet your child suffers from a disease inherited from a great-grandparent or other relative. This is an unpleasant surprise. Occasionally, people have been the first in their families to show symptoms of inherited diseases whose genes were latent or dormant and had never come to light before. We can all be carriers of a recessive mutation.<\/p>

The tests are carried out on the couple before conceiving, either naturally or by in vitro fertilisation. If a problem is detected as a result of the tests, it will be possible to prevent the child from being born with the disease. In such a case, it will be advisable to conceive by in vitro fertilisation in order to isolate the problematic genes.<\/p>

If pregnancy is pursued through a donor, the best match will be chosen after analysis of the donor’s gametes, but also of other factors, such as physical characteristics, blood group and Rh.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
