Indokolt akkor is, ha az anya \u00e9letkora magas (35 \u00e9v vagy ann\u00e1l id\u0151sebb), mivel a magzat kromosz\u00f3ma-rendelleness\u00e9gek (f\u0151k\u00e9nt aneuploidia) el\u0151fordul\u00e1s\u00e1nak es\u00e9lye sokkal nagyobb. Ebben az esetben olyan betegs\u00e9gekr\u0151l besz\u00e9ln\u00e9nk, mint a Down-szindr\u00f3ma.  \n\nA technika l\u00e9nyege, hogy az embri\u00f3b\u00f3l k\u00e9t sejtet (blasztomereket) vesznek ki, amikor az embri\u00f3 8 sejtb\u0151l \u00e1ll, azaz a megterm\u00e9keny\u00edt\u00e9st k\u00f6vet\u0151 harmadik napon. Ezeket a kivont sejteket egy partnerlaborat\u00f3riumban els\u0151sorban k\u00e9t technik\u00e1val vizsg\u00e1lj\u00e1k: fluoreszcencia in situ hibridiz\u00e1ci\u00f3val (FISH) vagy polimer\u00e1z l\u00e1ncreakci\u00f3val (PCR). \n\nN\u00e9h\u00e1ny \u00f3ra m\u00falva megkapjuk az embri\u00f3k genetikai \u00e1llapot\u00e1nak eredm\u00e9ny\u00e9t, \u00e9s ekkor a norm\u00e1lis kromosz\u00f3maadotts\u00e1g\u00fa embri\u00f3kat
