Consiste nello studio genetico degli embrioni mirato al trasferimento dei soli embrioni sani. \u00c8 indicata in pazienti con alterazioni cromosomiche e antecedenti familiari poich\u00e9 permette di evitare la trasmissione di malattie ereditarie. Rappresenta uno strumento utile anche quando l\u2019et\u00e0 della madre \u00e8 elevata (35 anni o superiore), fattore che aumenta sensibilmente la probabilit\u00e0 di anomalie cromosomiche del feto (principalmente aneuploidia). In questo caso, ci riferiamo a patologie quali la Sindrome di Down.<\/p><p>La tecnica si basa sul prelievo di due cellule (blastomeri) dall\u2019embrione, nel momento in cui quest\u2019ultimo sviluppa 8 cellule, cio\u00e8, tre giorni dopo la fecondazione. Le cellule prelevate vengono studiate in un laboratorio associato, che applica principalmente due tecniche: l\u2019Ibridazione in Situ Fluorescente (FISH) o la reazione a catena della polimerasi (PCR).<\/p><p>Trascorse poche ore, otteniamo il risultato della diagnosi sullo stato genetico degli embrioni, e, in questo stesso momento, si effettua il trasferimento degli embrioni che possiedano
